Step 1

Combine egg yolk, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla in a medium bowl. Beat with the whisk attachment of an electric mixer until frothy and several shades lighter in color, 1 minute to 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Step 2

To serve, pour coffee into a small cup, top with yolk-mixture and, if desired, sprinkle with cocoa powder or chocolate shavings.
